Lanny Summers sings lead and serves as the Crystal River Boys’ emcee and driver. Over the years, he has sung with many groups in northeast Tennessee, such as the Potter’s Clay and the Keynotes Quartet. Prior to joining the Crystal River Boys, Lanny sung tenor in his previous groups. Lanny was also once part of a group called the Revelations with his brother Danny (former Crystal River Boys’ baritone) and Leon Coomer, the brother of Crystal River Boys’ tenor Harold Coomer. Lanny works for the contractor Brock at the Eastman in Kingsport. He and his wife Dorothy reside in Kingsport, TN.
